Jewel David Ministries aspires to walk with individuals to freedom beyond the pain and struggles to a future filled with possibility.
Jewel David Ministries was founded by Dolores Reidenbach in 2010. Soon after, Dolores opened the Lights of Hope Thrift Shop. Her dream was to use profits from Lights of Hope to fund Jewel David non-profit Christian Counseling Center. She realized there were many who did not have insurance or a lot of money to pay for good quality counseling services. With a heart to help others and Lights of Hope shop open, the Christian Counseling Center began taking their first clients not long after.
Initially the Counseling Center focused on serving women and their families especially those with a history of sexual victimization. Through the years the Counseling Center has grown and now serves individuals, couples, families, and children with a variety of issues and concerns.
Jewel David Ministries does have a Board of Directors that meets regularly.
House of David opened and began providing transitional housing in Elizabethtown, PA as part of Jewel David Ministries.
To provide financial support to the non-profit House of David and the Counseling Center, Jewel David Ministries opened Shoppes on Market as well as Trellis Place and Co-Op Work Spaces.
Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, a Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
That God is the author of Sacred Scripture in its entirety, was penned by human authors and inspired by the Holy Spirit, to faithfully and without error teach us the Truth, for the sake of our salvation, by which we are to lead in our home, in the workplace, and within our community.
We believe that we are created in God's image, and that we are separated from Him by sin.
That Jesus Christ, true God and true man, is God's only power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered and died for our sins, was resurrected from the dead, and ascended into heaven.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ and that He will come again to judge all. That thru the bodily resurrection of the dead and life everlasting; we will either be united with Christ eternally in Heaven or eternally separated from Him in hell.
